Galentine’s Pop-Up by Miradela in Houston: Bad Bunny Look-Alike Contest & Sweet Community Vibes

Galentine’s Pop-Up by Miradela — Bad Bunny Energy & Community Vibes

I had the pleasure of photographing the Bad Bunny themed Galentine’s Pop-Up by Miradela, set at the Esplanade in Houston, and the energy was there from the start. When I arrived, the line was already long. It was foggy at first, but it turned out to be a gorgeous day — and people showed up ready to enjoy every minute of it.

Gabby, the owner of Miradela, did an amazing job putting the event together and carefully curating the perfect vendors, creating a lively mix of food, drinks, and Vibes. The result was an environment where people could connect, support small businesses, and simply have fun.

The Bad Bunny themed backdrops were a major highlight, constantly filled with guests taking photos and enjoying the theme. Another standout was the lowrider car used as a backdrop, provided by HTX Garage, which quickly became a favorite photo spot and added a unique visual element to the event.

One of the most hyped moments was the Bad Bunny look-alike contest, which brought a lot of excitement and crowd energy. From a photographer’s perspective, it created genuine, candid moments that captured the spirit of the day.

And of course — the conchas provided by La Hacienda were a clear crowd favorite, showing up in plenty of hands throughout the event.

More than anything, it was great to see the community come together — friends supporting friends, small businesses connecting with new audiences, and everyone enjoying the atmosphere. It was a fun, colorful event that truly reflected the spirit of Galentine’s Day.
